Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 to 2003. He is one of football's best tight ends, Anthony David Gonzalez is also the NFL leading receiver of yards for tight ends, and third overall in receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, a former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Tight End is currently a FOX Sport studio analyst. Gonzalez has been in FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's 1-hour NFL pregame program preceding FOX NFL SUNSET) and is broadcast every Sunday at 11:00AM ET through the NFL season.
On March 15th, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign to the Falcons for a 2-year, $14 million deal despite the fact that he had said he would be retiring after the 2013 season. Following the retirement of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez spent his last season as the NFL's active leader in receiving yards.
